I'm not an Armand Van Helden fan really, and the majority of his songs i'm pretty impartial to. I did, however, buy his last album "Ghettoblaster" because every now and then he really does get it right. I'm talking about his remixes of "Hustler" by Simian Mobile Disco and "Like Something For Porno" by Felix The Housecat, along with of course tracks like "NYC Beat" which, despite getting severely overplayed, was undeniably very different and a great track all in all. Well his next big one has been overdue and it has come in the form of his remix of Herve and Plastic Little's "Cheap Thrills". It really goes one better than the original by injecting a bit of good old grind.
